Hello
A Bit About Me
I’m Srijani Datta,
A 21-year-old climate activist/Sociology student from New Delhi, India.
I have been a part of the climate movement since March 2019 when the 1st #FridaysForFuture strike took place in India, and since then my commitment to the climate movement has grown from a participant to an organizer to co-founding a social movement organization (Youth For Climate India). I believe a Sociological perspective has the potential to turn our personal troubles into public issues. Hence, I conduct research and engage in movement building with the aim of introducing a Sociological perspective to the environmental discourse in the country.
I have a Bachelors in Sociology (2020-23) from Hindu College, Delhi University and currently pursuing my Masters in Sociology (2023-24) at the University of Oxford.
