The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) organised the launch event of the 4th edition of ‘Youth Climate Conclave’ (YCC) on October 7, 2022. I was invited as a panelist to share my opinion on youth-led community action, how consumer behaviour can be re-oriented in a sustainable manner and the barriers to youth participation in the climate policy process. The panel starts at 1 hr 10 mins.

I was invited to take two knowledge sessions at the Local Conference of Youth ( LCOY) 2022 on Climate Mitigation & Adaptation, and Loss and Damage for around 100 delegates from all over India.

In the session, I try to break down the terminologies, UN process, and international pacts related to Adaptation, Mitigation and Loss and Damage. I emphasise a holistic approach to calculating Loss and Damage taking into account languages, customs, local knowledge, and social networks lost due to climate change-induced disasters.

Youth For Climate India launched its Clean Air Campaign in three Indian cities of Moradabad, Faridabad and Lucknow. We launched the campaign on 7th September 2022 which is celebrated as International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies.

The campaign launch video was shot in Moradabad, where I along with two other team members conducted the campaign's first open meetings on Clean Air and had several stakeholder consultations with NGOs, local municipality, and student groups.

In this video, I talk about what made me come up with the idea of a Climate Justice Library, how our team at Youth For Climate India went about mobilising resources and finally establishing a library on the basis of community fundraising.

It gives you a sneak peek into our climate justice-themed library which currently houses 500+ books on various intersectional themes such as gender and climate, water pollution, fisherfolk, air pollution, agricultural practices, biodiversity, environmental law and sociology among many others.

This video was shot in the run-up to COP26, where I talk about the role of youth in negotiations and in leading the climate conversation at large. It takes you into what a day looks like in my life with my work and other commitments along with how I was preparing for the summit ahead of me.
